John Walsh began his aviation career in the United States Marine Corp as a Tactical Air Traffic Controller and Crew Chief.

 

After receiving an Honorable discharge from the USMC, John began his FAA career where he worked in all types of Air Traffic Control facilities as an FAA Front Line Manager and Certified Professional Controller with over 30 years’ of experience.  John has demonstrated technical expertise with strong leadership, management and organizational skills coaching staff while maintaining professional relationships across lines of business with FAA, aviation industry representatives and local users.

 

John is an experienced Air Boss ensuring the highest level of safety and customer service during aerial demonstrations. With has an extensive background in regulatory requirements, John is responsible for Airspace Waivers, NOTAMs and navigating regulatory requirements for overseas Airshows. John has an extensive background in aviation management, operations and aviation special event planning. including the development of new procedures for aviation special events.

Managing temporary towers at Augusta, GA in support of the Masters Golf Tournament, numerous AOPA Fly-Ins, Brooksville Tower, FL for Fire Fighting support, and Plant City, FL.  in support of the 2nd largest airshow in the USA. John was instrumental in developing Ramp Control procedures for Super Bowls in New Orleans, LA, Teteboro, NY, and Tampa, FL.
